And a picture from earlier in the day, with his special little penguin.

View from the window and balcony
This is the view from the balcony at Fernando and Eva's place. It's been a stormy late afternoon. This morning, when we took a walk, it was hot and sunny. The day sure changed!
Below is what we did two days ago, had dinner on the balcony. We had dinner on the balcony two evenings in a row, thinking we should take advantage of the nice balmy weather. Good thing we did, because we sure wouldn't be comfortable eating out there today!
And here's what Leonel was doing while we ate.

The three guys
This picture was taken before we went on a nice walk through a prairie-type park across the street from Fernando and Eva's apartment.
So many nice grasses, huge dandelions, and flowers along our walk.

Feeling content here in Calgary
June 20th
Our flights to Calgary went really smoothly with there being only 2 slightly trying times. One was trying to land in Houston. When I checked the weather for Houston while we were still in San Antonio, there was no rain anywhere close to Houston, but by the time we were getting ready to land in Houston there were quite a few storms! So, on our first approach to the runway we were going down steadily until the pilot all of a sudden gunned the engine and headed us back up into the air. Of course, not knowing what REALLY happened, all I could think of was that somehow we had a near miss with another plane. But the pilot did come on later and told us that it wasn't safe to land at that time after all and had to circle the airport a little longer. Whew!
Then, when we arrive at our gate (which amazingly enough was in the exact same terminal where we landed), we see on the board that our next flight is delayed by almost an hour. So, we had a longer wait in Houston than we had thought but it went by quickly enough and soon we were on our way to Calgary! We get to Calgary at 10:10pm and it was still very light outside! Fernando met us at the arrivals and after many hugs, we were on our way to his apartment and Eva and little Leo.
This is a picture taken of little Leo on June 19th, which was midsommar!

A few Leo pictures
He's growing right before our very eyes.....
The little Nackerbatzl! Nackerbatzl is an affectionate German word for an unclothed little baby.
