One week now!

Here is Scotty before 4:15pm - when he would officially turn one week old.

                     

So, it's almost 4:15pm - time to go outside to take pictures of him at one week old exactly!

                      

And today we had our Christmas in the evening!

This is how Scotty was the whole time we opened presents on his very first Christmas.

We are very grateful to Rebeca and Jason for allowing us to be a part of their Christmas celebration and to be there for the first few days of little Scotty's life.

5 and 6 days old

Dec. 28
Today Scotty is 5 days old.  The night of the 27th wasn't too bad for Jason, Rebeca and Scotty but it wasn't that good either.  It certainly wasn't as good as the night before.

Guillermo and I ran around to a lot of stores in the morning - returning some things and buying plenty of stuff that the baby needs and also getting groceries.
In the afternoon, Guillermo and I went to Irene's house.  I visited with Irene while Guillermo and Charlie went to look for a car part.
Later that evening, I was changing Scotty when he took advantage of "being out in the open" and sprayed over himself and onto the changing table.  So, bath time!

"I'm so happy after my little bath.  Can't wait till I can actually sit in a tub of water!"

Dec. 29

Then later we dressed Scotty and he got mad when we tried to put little pants on him.

Then after his afternoon feeding, he was sacked out.  Here he and Abuelito are "watching" a football game together.

And I finally got a picture of the tree to come out fairly clear without a flash!

3 and 4 days old

Our days have been really really busy but happy.  We spend a lot of time helping take care of Scotty, fixing meals and running to the stores to pick up whatever is needed.  Here are some pictures of Scotty taken on December 26th - 3 days old.

His cheeks are getting raw!  ;-)

The night of the 26th was a better night.  I think we all recovered somewhat that night - but especially Rebeca, who hadn't slept much since the 22nd or so!

December 27th - 4 days old

And here is little Scotty on his 4th day!

 Jack is sitting behind Rebeca.  He is still not sure what to make of the little thing that Rebeca keeps such close tabs on, but Jack sure seems protective of the baby.
