Well, we were wrong. Around 3 or so in the morning, we heard thunder and rain and thought ok, so another storm was passing through. Then that storm passed and we thought it was all over. I should have looked at the radar to see what was going on out there.
At around 4, we heard the storms kick up again and just get stronger and stronger until it started hailing. We don't remember hearing hail this bad against a house. We thought for sure our windows were going to break with how loud the sound was of the hail hitting them. It was a scary few minutes there while that hail was falling!
More paint off of the truck and tons of debris all over the place.
The corn plants on the left looked so nice and healthy yesterday - today, they're worthless.
This was a really nice pot of petunias yesterday. Looks like a rabbit just came in and ate them all off, but it was the hail just cutting them all up.
There was still all this hail at 11;30 this morning!
The side of our house is simply a mess.
Well, time to get out there and rake up all of that!!!
We also noticed that we have a few small holes in a few of our screens now. And the hail knocked lots of granules off of our roof shingles - there were small piles of those granules on our driveway. An insurance person will be coming out in the next few days.
