Great weekend with a full house!

We picked up Eva, Leo and Eva's parents Tomas and Berit on Thursday.  Fernando will arrive the next day since he has classes to teach on Friday.

That first evening, we all just hung around the house and took it easy.  Guillermo and I had made his famous chicken and rice the day before so we enjoyed that for dinner with good wine.

The next day we all went to the rodeo grounds!

That evening, after picking up Fernando from the airport, we had a fun dinner at Rudys!

On Saturday we took a drive up into the hill country.  We visited the Living History Farm in the Johnson State Park, had lunch in Fredericksburg, then swung by Luckenbach.  There was some major event going on there because there were LOTS of people and campers.

Today, Sunday, Guillermo and I stayed home with Leo while the rest went out to lunch on the Riverwalk.  The four of them thoroughly enjoyed seeing the Riverwalk and then eating at La Gloria and Guillermo and I thoroughly enjoyed having Leo all to ourselves!  He is truly a sweetie pie!!!

Bet you don't know what a halloweena is!!

We did a Facetime yesterday with Rebeca and Scotty.  Rebeca was telling us how a javelina had been trying to get into their garbage can.   And then Scotty excitedly told us, "Nana and Abuelito, a halloweena was trying to get into our trash can!!"   (Halloweena is my best attempt at spelling his pronunciation of javelina.)  We just laughed and laughed and thought that was so precious!!!

We are looking forward to house-guests in a week!  Eva's parents - Tomas and Berit, and Eva and Leo will arrive on Thursday, and Fernando will arrive on Friday.  Eva teaches at Tulane Univ on Tuesday/Thursdays and Fernando teaches there on Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays.  It will be a quick visit but we are looking forward to them being here very much!
