Yesterday was Monday, the day after Easter. Since everything had been more or less closed the last three days, we thought we'd get out today and do a little grocery shopping and get a few other things done. Our first stop was a store that has a little bit of just about anything you would need. It's amazing what this store carries, and no matter what we are looking for, chances are they have it in their store. From there we went to downtown El Campello to the internet cafe to make some copies and after that passed one of the bigger grocery stores in town and we were shocked to see that it was closed. Not a good sign. So, we drove on to the store we usually shop at and sure enough, it was closed, too. I guess the day after Easter here is also a big holiday. So, we decided to eat at a restaurant along the beach that we had been wanting to try. Since the day was a holiday with clear blue sunny skies, there were more people on the beach than we had ever seen. Make no mistake, though, the air was still quite cool!
This was the view from the restaurant we ate at which was called La Vela. We had pizza, fried squid and a salad. All of it was very good.
We took this picture after we had lunch. The beaches were already emptying because everyone was going to lunch!
