And what I will miss the most is all the history and culture around here. There have been so many places where it would be so fantastic to be granted at least 5 minutes back in that era and be able to see what was going on and how it was for all those brave and hardy people who came before us. Driving through the Spanish countryside lends itself to imagining how it must have been back in the 1200s or so. No roads, no power lines, not many points of reference, the people on horseback just riding across the land not knowing what they were going to find on the other side of the mountain or hill. As exciting as it was at times, it must have been incredibly hard for them. No feed stores around for the horses, no Home Depots all over the place to run to to buy supplies, no modern washing machines to wash their clothes or fast food places to grab a quick bite to eat.
Anyway, here are some pictures of the flowers around the yard of the house. There is a lot blooming now.
I just love taking care of this petunia. It is so beautiful.
Both of us water every single day because even though it's cool at night and there's lots of moisture in the air, the plants dry out quickly for some reason.
Guillermo and I went to the mall in Alicante today and I found a dress that I think would be suitable for Fernando and Eva's wedding.
