Well, we knew this day had to come. We packed up our stuff and left the Tinamou Cottages, where we had stayed the past two days here in Boquete. The cottages themselves were very nice and comfortable, but there were absolutely no birds around save for one kind of hummingbird who frequented the feeder. We heard the tinamous, but never saw them.
Anyway, we drove with Fernando and Eva to David where they were going to catch a bus back to Santa Rosa. It´s amazing how adept Eva is at looking at any map of a city in the Lonely Planet book and being able to head Fernando in the right direction. So, we got to the bus station, they bought their tickets and we had to say our goodbyes already, since the bus was leaving in 30 minutes. It was a sad time, it always is, and we watched them walk away into the crowd until we couldn´t see them anymore.
So, we now have about 2 hours until we need to be at the airport for our flight to Panama City, so we are spending it at this internet cafe. Guillermo is also looking for a place to make a phone call, since we got an email from his credit card company saying they need to talk to him about some suspicious charges!! That is annoying - we squared everything with them before we left, so we hope everything is ok.
I have SO much to catch up on with this blog, and hopefully the next place we stay at has internet in the room.
Fernando and Eva - I hope you two are having a good bus ride back to your home in Santa Rosa.
Jason and Rebeca - we sure loved the pictures you posted of Jason´s graduation. It looks like we missed a very nice time with all of you. Congratulations, Jason! Errr, I mean, Dr. Field! :-)
