We hung around in our room in the morning, and Sabina from the office, worked with us for a while, trying to help us get the internet. Finally, she figured out some cables in the office, and I'm writing this in the evening, and we've had internet all day since.
We drove back out to the Pasteleria Alemana for lunch, and had a warm (this time) empanada with hot chocolate and then a fruit tart for dessert. Then we drove around a little, looking at possible places for rent, and then it was time to head back to Valle Escondido to talk with the lady, because we decided we'd take that really-more-than-we-need place for at least a month. But for one month, we thought we'd just do it.
So, we're set for the next month - tomorrow we get the keys to the house!!!! How exciting!!
It was basically an inside day today, since it was so cool and rainy. Here are some pictures of the place we are staying. This is the view outside our front door.....

For dinner this evening, we walked up the street to a little place called Culturas, where we had a good chicken parmesan and soup. We also talked with the singer who was the entertainment this evening, he joined us at our table when he took a break to eat.
You stay at the 'fanciest' places I've ever seen. I love it! John
ReplyDeleteHope you get some visitors at the Valle Escondido (REBECA). It'll be tough time-wise for us, but maybe we can make it there by the end of January.

ReplyDeleteJohn - if you thought Isla Verde was fancy, well... come visit us during this next month!!!
ReplyDeleteFernando - we agree wholeheartedly about getting some visitors (REBECA!!) Even if we aren't living in the same house when you come in January, maybe we can at least rent a room in the hotel here. It is really nice, also.
:( We would love to visit, but I would need all expenses paid and a new job (because I would get fired!). It looks great, though! We're hoping to visit u in Costa Rica. Make sure you're staying in a fancy place there :)
