Rain today!

Wow, lovely.  In the afternoon, I could see rain on the mountains in the distance but doubted that any of it would get to where we are.  But it did!!  A heavy rain with some lightning and thunder.  Scotty and I were on the patio when the rain started.  The wind bought such a nice smell of rain and creosote.  Oh it was wonderful to see rain, see dark clouds, hear thunder and all that after countless days of nothing but sun.

So patriotic the two of them are!

We did running around today, just happy that it's a three day weekend.  We had breakfast at Millie's Pancake House, then went to Target.  Since the weather was almost perfect today - no sun, rain in the distance, cooler weather, we decided to go to Frost and enjoy a gelato out on the patio.  It was the perfect day for it and we enjoyed sitting on the tables outside in the nice cooler weather.  Scotty enjoyed seeing all the people and the cars whizzing by on Tanque Verde Rd.  But we don't think he enjoyed not getting to eat any of our gelatos!
